Good afternoon!
I hope that this email finds you all well. We all made it through the crazy week of Halloween. I know that students are tired and likely filled with sugar. :) This week has been filled with bubbling excitement! I wanted to extend my gratitude to all the parent volunteers that came and assisted with our party. I know the students had a blast! Thank you! I sent home thank you cards to each of you with your kiddo today as well.

My Best,

Updates:
- Homework: I know there was some confusion about the math homework that I sent home on Tuesday. I made a decision to send home paper homework with every child. I know some families requested paper math homework at conferences, but it is optional additional practice. While I don’t require students to complete much work outside of school (striving toward helping students be balanced), the additional practice might be something you consider doing. I have relayed this message to students, but I wanted to clarify if there was any confusion. In addition, students should be reading most nights for at least 30 minutes. I have reminded students that reading logs should be turned in every Tuesday.
- Volunteers: I sent out a link last week where you can sign up to volunteer in the classroom. I will evaluate at the end of the month to see if additional times or volunteers are needed. I appreciate the help! I do also understand that these times aren’t easily accessible to all families. We will have field trips coming up after the winter break, and I will definitely need volunteers for those! I will keep you posted. Here is the link if you need. http://signup.com/go/mQmySEe
- Excellent Opportunity: I was just informed of an awesome opportunity, and I wanted to share it with you all. Our National Park Service has a program for 4th graders where they receive a free National Park pass for the year (September-August). Here is the link for anyone who like to snag a free pass! https://www.everykidinapark.gov/
