Good afternoon families!
I hope that this week has been great for you all. We have been extremely busy! In our class blog, you are able to see everything we did this week. It was a terrific week! I have two updates: one update is about lunch groups. I forgot to send home the permission forms today, but they are in the students' boxes to take home Monday. For those of you who don't know about lunch groups, it is a small group that meets with Mrs. Daniel-Hoffman (our school councilor) during lunch time. Students play games and interact with other students while enjoying their lunches. She will have four sessions this year. I allowed students to let me know if they were interested. If your child requested to attend, a permission slip will be coming home on Monday. I apologize for not getting it home today, but it is due on Wednesday, September 19.
My second update is about homework. I sent home reading logs, vocabulary practice, and a family values sheet on Tuesday. As a reminder, students should be reading for at least 3 hours outside of school. In order to help prepare your child for the upcoming vocabulary test (Tuesday), your child can practice on Quizlet. The website is linked under the "Resources" page. Every Tuesday, we will test on that week's vocabulary words.
As always feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Have a fabulous weekend!
My Best,
Alison Bedwell
